Who We Are
Since 2016, the Pivotal Residential team has a track record including sourcing, entitling, and developing over 3,300 units with $650mm of total investment within the high-end residential space.
Michael Ramsey, Managing Principal
Michael is the Managing Principal of Pivotal Residential and is responsible for the sourcing, investment, and corporate functions of the company.
Prior to founding the company, Michael was the Senior Director of Development for a Birmingham-based multifamily developer recognized as a top-15 developer nationally. Prior to his efforts in the residential development space, Michael was an Associate with the private equity desk of a Fort Worth, TX-based hedge fund sponsor with $9bn of AUM.
Michael graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Finance and earned his master’s in Finance from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt.
Michael and his wife Caroline live in Birmingham, Alabama and have three children - Eliza, Collier, and Rhodes - and enjoy time with family & friends, hiking outdoors, and trips to Lake Martin.
